Next weekend November 8-10 I am working on the Vintage Gear addict panel that I'll be moderating Sunday morning. Panelists include Mark Rubel, Tony San Flippo and Jeff Powell. These guys are all bad ass in their own right. Just google them! We'll be discussing first and foremost; vintage gear and why we are addicted to it. Also where, how and why to find it. Secrets of the vintage gear pickers. How find, use, modify your own vintage gear collection to get yourself well on the way to sharing in this wonderful addiction. I'll also be on the "What am I worth?" panel with the honorable Russ Long moderating on Saturday afternoon. We will be discussing the business of doing business in this business and putting a price on what you do. www.welcometo1979.com Please come join us and have the time of your geeky life! > Paid attendees are invited to visit blackbird audio rentals shop on Friday afternoon from 3-5pm -Rolff Rolff Zwiep | manager blackbird audio rentals2805 bransford ave nashville tn 37204 p 615 279 RENT (7368) | f 615 279 5274

Yeah, I'm in NYC, and I'd love to see a video. It doesn't need to be high quality, just a stationary iPhone video would be fine. Have fun !

I discussed this with Chris Mara (co-owner of Welcome to 1979), yesterday and he had a great reply that I sincerely endorse and respect.
He said, he has approached all the panelists, presenters and 'storytellers' that participate, and asked them to be as candid and truthful as they can (I was one of them). Even revealing names, dates and details when/where they deemed necessary and pertinent to the discussion. Therefore, Chris used the term, "Must be present to win.", and I fully agree. The attendees paid money to be here for the experience in person and many traveled some good distance to attend. The event is capped at 60 attendees, otherwise it would be way too crowded and take away from the intimacy of the experience, and it has always been sold out. So you see, there is a reason he is doing it this way.
Hope you all understand and consider making the trip for this great event. If you do, be sure to sign up ASAP!
