Made the mistake of playing in the pool with the kid and paying the price! Man these things hurt! To make matter worse Antibiotics always do a number on me !

Argh, that is bad.
I had an ear infection a few years every summer, and even worse than pain and antibiotica was the fear to lose some hearing permanently....
Hope you feel better soon and get thru this quickly...

Use some peroxide in there.... I think my ears are pretty good and I do it about 2 times a year. It'll knock it out in a day or so. Oregano oil also I think is something people use for ear infections, but not totally positive, might want to research that one. Hope you feel better.

50/50 alcohol and vinegar it will kill the bacteria nice and quick.

Please do not think to put oregano oil directly into your ear else you will hurt yourself very very badly. You must use one drop per 10 milliliters max for an acute condition. Let them sit together over night and apply a few times a day. If a after three days the pain is still with you see a doctor, pronto. Oregano is sooooo very powerful and will mess up any mucus membrane on contact, so none in or around your eyes, nose or on your lips or in your mouth. The pure oil is highly condensed and is way stronger than what you put in your marinara sauce.

Antibiotics have been doing the job, just wish they didn't do a job on my stomach .

Both the alcohol/vinegar mix and oregano oil suggestions are natural alternatives to antibiotics. We take far too many ABs and far too often. The other things to remember, is use earplugs when swimming in public pools! We need you to have your hearing intact, ericn! (and we need more Prince stories, please) |

(and we need more Prince stories, please) Man Ward I totally agree about the over use of antibiotics, but with my imuine system screwed by the fact that all the grafted skin is missing a layer and the pancreatitis, it's hit any infection quick and hard with the Antibiotics! MSRA almost killed me once because of some cleaning lady not changing a mop he's of all things, ( I still give a guy with his name on a Nobel a hard time about missing that one) ! |
