My retailer gave me this today with the words "its as good as the original one, at 1/5 of the price". If that holds true capitalism is going the suicide road. If you buy it ... its 29 Euros. It looks and feels like the Shure.....its a copy....or maybe from the same factory??

At that price they would make great stocking stuffers at Christmas time, but yes, before that I would love to hear one in action. I wouldn't want it to be akin to a lump of coal for the child/recordist who didn't do his/her studio chores.

I have a few "just like the SM57 at 1/5th the price" mics in the studio. If they mean that they work as mics and have the same general shape, then yes, just like them..
If they mean that they sound exactly the same, then NO, they do not. They don't sound bad though, just different.
Oh and at least one of them was plastic bodied, but really heavy.. They filled it with cement to give it weight..

Shure builds all its products in company owned factories. They also have great lawyers.

Its just stupid to do the RD and china is going to copy it. I wait for the first exact Neumann Clones...

A company started making great sounding Knock off of Shure mics , so Shure bought the company and created the "BG" series, they did do some retooling but 90% of the mic was correct!
