My pair of Heritage Audio 8173's will soon have some company... www.heritageaudio.net/product-3-6673.phpFinding that tracking kick, snare and toms with CAPI VP28 pre's and EQ'ing them through the Heritage 8173's is killer. About to start building a permanent kick drum tunnel and thought I'd put my Neumann U77 FET to use into a Seventh Circle Audio N72 pre. Now what's the quarter wavelength of 80hz again?

Wow. There's some sexy stuff in this thread. I could totally get on board with those 6673s. Now to scratch up $6k Strangely I get a better deal on Heritage gear over here in Australia than anywhere else. These 6673 and 8173 modules work out at around $2,250 USD each (inc all taxes) even after our Aussie dollar took a pounding over the past few years. There's only one HA distributor in Australia and I think HA is making sure the pricing down here is pretty keen to help Heritage establish a market here in Australia. Even the Heritage Audio 80 series 1073 is only $2000 USD here which is a bargain compared to Neve or BAE. Here's an example of an AMS Neve 80 Series 1073 compared to a Heritage Audio 80 Series 1073 from the same store. Prices in Australian dollars (73 US cents = $1 AUD) AMS Neve 1073 - www.soundtown.com.au/products/ams-neve/ams-neve-1073-mic-pre-eq-80-series-module/Heritage Audio 1073 - www.soundtown.com.au/products/series-80/heritage-audio-1073-mic-preamp-equaliser-80-series-module/I don't think I'll ever lose much on them if I ever sell them and besides, they're indispensable for drums, electric guitar... just about everything! If Heritage went out of business (hope they don't) I think these modules would then just gradually increase in price in the second hand market.
