This is crazy. I did mix in logic today and it sounds nice. I did worked hard to get the low end right. As soon I bounce it, and it does not matters if its 24 or 16 bit, with or without dithering... It screws up the the low end, the image.... the everything... bouncing to 16 bit makes it even base heavier ?? That is crazy and it may says something about how they do the math..... It frustrates me I did hard work to get it right ITB.... and they screw it up with the bounce... Any hint or help is welcome..... THX... PS: There you see what my new mixing room brings up I never recognized it before.

Yeah - I think iTunes defaults to the EQ being on...

The absolute volume being to full scale changes your perception...and potentially the cleanliness of your DAC/amp---but, not irrelevant, as every other system it's ever played on will be running it at full scale.

Also, check your bounce settings. I believe you need to set dither, although I've never used it, recently there was a thread here about this in Logic, so check into that too. iTunes also has different volumes and EQ settings, so be sure volume is at maximum and there's no EQ'ing.

Have you tried playing the bounce via Quicktime (I believe the easiest way to do this is just use column view in the finder, navigate to the file, then click on the play area in the files icon).
I find that player to be a more accurate representation of the mix, and is often closer to the bounce than listening through iTunes.
Now, as for which one is "true," - I guess that is the age old question I know I certainly struggle with.
But at least it may answer some questions regarding the playback vehicle.
