I'm starting to get them on a regular basis. VERY ANNOYING. Didn't have this issue on 12.3. Just having to freeze tracks. Can't imagine getting it on a 24 track session - even maxed...i7/16gb RAM
Just wondering if it was a thing.
Omnisphere and 12.4 are the only two new things I've installed...don't know how it could be omnisphere if it's not even in the session.

Well...God bless Trashing Prefs...seems to have improved it dramatically. Why am I still having to Trash Prefs in PT12??

Do you have dynamic plugin processing turned on? Having that on solved alot of odd pt cpu load issues for my machine.

Yes - getting it with DPP on...and now I've loaded 5GB of memory in disk cache. Still doing occasionally. Wondering if my 4TB USB drive is starting to get flaky

I had same set up Mac mini i7 an a old external hard drive case FireWire/usb it was old I bought a new usb3 case put same hard drive in it all my problems stopped.
I guess what I'm saying is my external drive case was causing all kinds of errors

It's a USB 3 drive with moving parts in it...so I thought I could defrag...but it won't let me. I might go buy a second and spread out the duties.

If your going to buy a new external, buy a SSD as a work drive and keep the spinner as an archive! I am amazed how many systems are less taxed with an SSD doing all the heavy read/write/ read/ write lifting. |

I have to say - I'm DONE with PT's. This is just ridiculous. I don't have any problems in other DAWs. Only PTs.
