I am using One18.
I love them!
I didn't get their amp though. I bought a used high end amp locally.

I'm using a Beringer Reference A500. 200 bucks and it sounds just fine. the Behringer A500 is noisy distortion machine, with an insanely bad -55db crosstalk spec!! It's cheap and of objectively poor design.

the bryston is a few class above the adcom. i have the adcom 555. JMO, but for $200 you can buy an Adcom GFA555 that sounds on par with the Byston in stock condition, for another $200 you can have JW mod it to exceed the Bryston..... the Bryston costs multiple $1,000's I spent some extra on some beer can sized caps and rewired mine and it sounds ridiculously great.

I always run all my amps wide open anyway. According to that guys findings on the video, it doesn't make too much distortion wide open. And it's a class a/b amp, It's going to have some. That's what makes it sound good. Class D sounds flat to me. I don't like it at all.

And it sounds just fine. no monitoring amp with a 55db crosstalk spec sounds acceptable in a pro audio environment, unless you're recording in mono, the day i hang a zillion dollars worth of great sounding pro audio gear, and my mix decisions on a cheap, distortion laden behringer power amp? well, it's not gonna happen, you should really try comparing it to a good unhyped, low distortion class A amp, and see if you still think it sounds fine? Don't know if it's true, but I've read elsewhere that the Amphion 500 is hyped in the bottom, which again is distortion, and a bad thing in a pro audio situation, as AE's, we are looking for clear, accurate and undistorted representation from a power amp.

I used Adcom amps for a decade when I was analogue, and they were damn good. They never gave me a false impression, and I had to broadcast commercials I'd written and produced all the time then, so it had to sound right on the radio or TV. I would imagine there might be some better choices now, but I would happily use Adcom again if I needed an amp.

Tony I've been putting out mixes with this cheap amp that sound good. Translate better than anything I've used yet. So I guess I'm satisfied. I had that Amphion 500 class D amp in here for awhile and ended up hating it. Mixes sounded thin and just nasty. So I'll say this, this 200 buck amp kicks the crap out of that $1800 turd IMO.
