Hudsonic On GS, you mentioned that you bought the new Lewitt tube mic several months ago. Any thoughts you want to share over here? Thank you for your question. I did not keep that Lewitt mic. I did not even open it so I cannot offer any opinion. I put that money towards some other new mics, Senn. MKH 800 Twins.

Iron Age V2 has arrived. Cheers, Geoff Your thoughts will be, very much, appreciated! Ok very initial thoughts. Opened up a project that I downloaded files off the web ages ago. Like a decade. I kinda use as a practice piece to try out new stuff, techniques etc. But its something I considered reasonably dialled in. Put it through the V2. Demudded something I didn’t know needed demudding. Drums snapping nice and crisp. Am I really going to use the 17k? Turns out yes, yes I am. Took all of about a minute to improve things immensely. Fiddled about for about another hour. Even pushed to the limits never sounded phasey or weird. More experimenting to come but initial thoughts are this thing is pretty dang cool. Cheers, Geoff

Traded an amp for a Prophet ‘08. Not sure if I’ll keep it, but maybe it’ll earn its keep

These babies don't cost more'n a few nickels, but I'm in love with coming up with new, interesting and freaky voicing on acoustic. Partial capos have been around for who knows how long but they're brand spankin' new to me. I've ordered a 5 string version and it'll be here on Monday. I've been scouting for a two-string but haven't yet found one. I might have to MacGyver one of my own from a three-er.

Years ago, back in my full-time touring troubadour days, I used to experiment using a “third hand capo”, and when I settled on something I liked, I would buy a new Keyser and cut it up to what I needed. Now of course you can buy them. Super fun stuff!

Ordered two ADT Olympic MicEQ modules! Been on the wait list for years, and really fell in love after I heard what bricejchandler was doing with them. Glad I could help! Those Olympics are definitely really cool. Would've loved to have gotten the one with eq! Well, the MicEQs arrived and they're reaaally ace. Very impressed with the eq---what a sound! It's like opening a window. Sounds really incredible when pushed on direct guitar or bass. I want more channels 😩. I also need to thank paulcheeba, as I remembered it was his clips of the Olympic vs an API512c on another site that got me interested (and on the waitlist!) in the first place. 🙏

Nothing too crazy but a Hot Rails bridge pick up for my wife's Mustang (stock is a bit too wimpy for her), an old Ludwig "scotch" 28”x8.5” bass drum, and a Lunastone Distortion pedal also for the wife from Sam Ash ($60, good deal!). *Add some new tension rods and replacement heads for that drum (which ended up being twice as much as the drum itself haha)

Told myself I was done for June, then somehow a Moog Subsequent 37 squeezed through on the last day.

Most recent purchases are:
Daking 4T which is my favorite preamp ever. Felt like it was too bright at first but really has grown on me so fast because of the massive amount of gain and the HPF has been very helpful.
Samar AL95 pair. These are just stellar on especially recording guitar and singing at the same time. Very eager to try them on OHs
Serrano 87 Vintage. I wanted another vocal mic flavor apart from my Soyuz 017 and this thing reminds me exactly of the u87 I used at an recording studio I used to record at years ago.
