I've boxed the horrid sounding KT-2A that I bought used after trying to get it to not suck the life out of anything that I put through it's circuits. I'm not quite sure that it would be karmically beneficial to try to sell it. I changed the tubes out and it made but a small incremental difference so maybe I'll just pass it on to the local Goodwill. I sold the replacement tubes and the originals are back in. Wow, what kind of bass are you running through it? Was just listening back to a session tracked with a couple different Jazz basses through the KT-2A and admiring its grip on the bottom. Unless you're talking about recording something besides bass through it, which I can't say I've found worth doing.

oh this thing sounds so sultry sweet! 32 hz never sounded so good. I gotta subject it to some frequency response investigations, not sure where the lustrous lusciousness is coming from. Maybe it's pre ringing and I just love that in analog domain on some material? Such an enigma! Everyone should have at least 1 old IRP or White rotary Graphic in their rack, not just because all those knobs look cool. Every once in a while they are just the perfect EQ, and because every MI dealer thinks faders means better EQ they can be found dirt cheap, it always suprises me how often I would walk into an old church that had sounded pretty good all things considered to find it sounded like crap because someone had decided a Behringer or Cheap DBX Graphic was an upgrade, it never was.

Until I recieve the Audioscape an instance of Fabfilter Pro-C in Opto Style into a pinch of Saturn in sidechain will have do for me. The KT-2A is already boxed up and ready to find a new home with a new family.

Well I couldn't resist. Saw an M49b on Sweden's "Craigslist" at a great price and bought it! Extremely good condition 9/10. PSU, cables and swivel looks almost NOS. Never seen such a clean PSU. And.. believe it or not a working M7 capsule in good condition. Yeah, congrats! Now, do what you do best and let us hear it on your vocals!

Just doing finishing touches so I ordered a Focusrite ISA and Beyerdynamic M160, classic guitar cab combo to slap on my new Marshall.
I have literally one stereo slot available in both rack and Carbon inputs, going to get an Elysia Xpressor Nu (yeah the new one) me thinks. So I'll order that on Monday.. I know I keep saying it but that literally is IT. There's no space left, nothing.. Nada, no dice.
Oh and I ordered a DW double bass pedal, I thought a single pedal would do but you just can't take the metal out of me apparently.

My latest gear acquisition was a pair of Beesneez B67-269s—I liked them so much I bought third, and I think I’ll be getting at least one more. Presently my favorite mic! Attachment Deleted

I got a usb cable for my Casio electronic piano. Whoopee. But only after I lugged it upstairs to where the computer is and discovered it doesn’t take the midi cables I ordered for it. D’oh!
Cheers , Geoff

This thread has been pretty quiet lately, so I'll make a little noise. I picked up the Trinnov NOVA. I've used ARC and Sonarworks, and this is definately giving superior results, but of course at a more expensive price. Its also nice to have it correct all audio coming through the computer ("systemwide") that actually works. I send an ADAT digital out from a MOTU 16a into the Trinnov, and then the Trinnov into the active monitors. Works well.

When I finally got it sorted it was duh, that makes perfect sense. Cheers, Geoff

I just purchased a Fender '68 Custom Deluxe Reverb, which should be here by the end of the week. I've been using my Vox AC15, which is great, but I've been looking to compliment it with some Fender tones, so this should be fun.

But I had some of these Fender amps in the 60s and early 70s, and to me, there is nothing like them! (I used them for fender rhodes too!)

Made a move on a Millennia Media 316 Dante mic amp set up. 16 mic amps in a 1U chassis. Will use it as a stage box. Has remote control.

Congrats. Such a cool piece. I have been looking at the NOVA and I have been on the fence for a couple months. I look forward to how it works out for you. I have system wide with the ARC Studio box. I think that acquisition kind of put a stop gap temporarily on the NOVA, but I am still very interested!

Regarding system-wide performance (or Sonarworks' buggy implementation): I forget where I heard about it (probably RGO), but the SoundSource app (RogueAmoeba) is a fantastic solution that can apply the SonarWorks plugin, and other plugins, to your system-wide audio. Worth every penny!

Picked up some Audix for the locker, D6-i5-OM2 combo on sale currently for $169 Oh. I didn't realize 'The Audix Club Kit' was an actual kit that comes in a flight case with room for 7 mics, some DIs, a black Audix crew T-shirt, backstage pass lanyard and a coffee cup in the shape of a D6, though it was just a killer price on a D6/i5 combo with an OM2 thrown in, but I'll take it!
