I just bought one of the Metric Halo A/D/A upgrade boards for my ULN-8 (thanks, plinker !). I'm so thankful for Metric Halo as a company. I've been using their interfaces and converters since about 2004 or so, and I'm grateful for their policy of making every interface they've ever released capable of being updated with new technology. You can update the hardware yourself, and you never have to throw a Metric Halo box in a landfill. The company has its faults (as all companies do), but their customer service and dedication to making the best product they can with little regard for advertising or influencers or what looks "hot" this month is commendable. Looking forward to the mkIV upgrade!

I just got a mint condition pair of C12a's and a C24 also in mint condition the capsules are like new. All the original paperwork, PSU's and cables. They sound amazing, the low end on the C24 is so much better than my old one. The bonus was that they were half market price.
I'm waiting for my Beesneez Tube BC12a's and BU67's 2's too so I'm really excited. I love the Beesneez capsules, they're my modern favourites.
I'm also waiting desperately for my Stam Fultec MEQP-1AS+ Full bandwidth, Stereo with solid state Op Amps as well as tubes. Yipee!

Some late night can't sleep lowballing on Reverb resulted in me buying a Maxon OD-808, Maxon Ambient Stereo Chorus, and an Animals Pedal Fishing Is As Fun As Fuzz pedal. Also, some drum parts to fix up an old Slingerland kit

As much as I really hate graphic EQ’s you have to have them for the live rig so I scored one of my favorites the BSS FCS 960 $125 shipped on eBay.

Some more late night Reverb lowballing got me a bunch of new pedals. Guyatone TZ-2…which I think was the first fuzz pedal I ever owned…based on the Superfuzz. Excited to hear one again
Mahoney Oklahoma Red Dirt…I know nothing about it but I’ve owned a couple Mahoney pedals in the past and interested to see what the heck it is…
Wren & Cuff Hangman 2D, which is suppose to be like an old Boss HM-2 but it’s not as “thin” sounding to me…
SolidGoldFX NU-33 which is a pretty interesting “vinyl” emulator sort of like the Zvex Lo-Fi Junkie. I get a bit intimidated by pedals that do a lot but I think it’ll be a good one for mixing or making synths sound a bit less hi-fi
SolidGoldFX Surf Rider IV…weirdly I don’t own a reverb pedal and think this will be good to used with amps that don’t have a built in spring
Yesterday Effects 8 Bit Fuzz…just another disgusting sounding fuzz

I wasn’t in the market, but I saw a great deal on a Daking Fet III on Reverb, so I sprung for it.
Now I have to decide what to sell to make room in the racks…

Picked up an RND 8-channel DI box demo deal and a Speck X.Sum mixer for my 2nd room keyboards setup so that I can have them all ready to go along with my old Roland TR-707. I won't use all the channels on the X.Sum unfortunately, but I wanted super high-quality and the Speck meets that need.

I like it on bass and vocals but I’ve got a STA level and Splice, so…

After months of negotiation, I finally secured two NTP 179-120s in their lunchbox with JS I/O transformers, and also a racked pair of Neumann PE eqs. Big order. I thought I had them, then the seller said no. This happened several times but I think that this time he's really doing it.
THe PE eqs, I'm happy to have them in my studio, because I've been sold "fake" OEV eqs early 2023... The Hauffe I/O transformers were not in the cassettes, replaced by bigger Neves I/O transformers in the rack. Neve is no slouch but it's not the sound of the Neumanns. So now I'll have the opportunity to compare them all and decide what to keep, what to sell. I know me, I'll probably keep everything, I hate selling stuff.
The Neumann OEV / PE are probably my favourite eqs ever. I've heard them first in a mixing room in Paris (the OEVs), and was astonished by the low band sound. The 60hz band is a secret weapon.
If you find them, buy them. Put them across your music buss. Boost all bands and smile.

This month I'm also buying a second Coil Audio CA-286 and a Dave Smith / Roger Linn Tempest (this one I'm really really excited about, to craft analog beats and song drafts everywhere, sounds like all the serious fun in the world !)

If anybody has spare NTP M100 opamps in their drawer that they don't use, please contact me, I'll buy them. I have a lot of NTP gear now and need spares.

We got a STAM 87-t to add to the mic locker. Immediately a go-to on vocals, that value is real! Impressive build quality too.
I got a BAC 500 compressor for my lunchbox, also took an immediate liking to that. Really nice on mono room mics, snare, bass, vocals. It really has it's own personality, different than 1176s

Exiting a local thrift shop I Randomly found a pristine AKG D130, with case and all. $20!
It's a omnidirectional dynamic, made in Austria. I like it.

I just want to sound like Pink Floyd. Is there a way I can modify it with a Beetles/Floyd switch or something so that I can toggle the sound I'm after?

Just scratch off the LMW 281F in the lower right corner of the face plate, Instant Floyd tone.
