Today my order of two Lewitt LCT-840's came in from Sweetwater. I've already wired one up for some testing but haven't done anything except check signal. Sounds like a microphone so far! Can't wait to do some tests. However... there's nothing quite as satisfying as looking up the prices on something you bought on sale after you've finally gotten it. They were blowing this out as the they are being discontinued but there are still some out there. And yep, they're back up to $1k - $1.2k depending on which retailer (or out of stock). So $599 each sounds pretty darn good! And, as with all Lewitt's the build quality seems fantastic and it's way less ugly in person than it is in pictures. And, I'm ashamed to say, I kind of like the tube window with the "toob glow" illumination. Haha. Don't mock me! Mock. Mock. Mock!

Ok, this is a small one perhaps but kinda of a game changer.
Broke down and bought a Logitech MX Mechanical and MS Anywhere 3s to replace my Magic Mouse and Keyboard. So far... why did I wait this long? I actually love the Magic Mouse but I needed something that could switch between devices seamlessly. But even without that functionality I think this is an improvement.
Magic Mouse is now relegated to the laptop bag for travel!

New CAPI 511 rack. 9 spaces are open, but my API was conking out.

Super excited to try out the Analogue Tube AT-3 tube preamp. First impression is simply amazing. Got the topend that I've come to expect from a tube preamp but very fat low-end which gives the track a fullness that I don't think I've heard before except maybe with a V41.

Just bought the last new Empress EMC519 compressor listed on the inter webs. It seems pretty legit, and a couple of people here seem to like it. I'm impressed with the functionality!
They discontinued it awhile back. I guess it's hard for pedal peddlers to cross over to pro-audio...
I'll likely want another for stereo use, but will have to bide my time until a used one comes up.

Well, if it sucks, I'll sell you mine -- you know you can't get them anymore, so it might cost you ;-)

Real talk, if you do end up not liking it, maybe we'll figure out a trade. I feel bad for some of the gear that I just don't use as much as others might.

I been using D1000 on vocals. Works great. Same for EV Re11 I love D1000 on guitar amps. I'll have to try one on a vocal sometime.

I've been eyeing Chris' Alesis stuff for a long time now... I've already decided that I will like the Empressor. I've made up my mind. You can't change that. I don't care if it sucks. It's a done deal, and I'm a happy user.

Bought an Audio-Scape Opto Comp. Been borrowing a LA2A from a friend and have used it enough to realize I'd like one for myself. Audio-Scape makes great stuff and the price is super reasonable. No regrets on the 76D I have already.

No regrets on the 76D I have already. If I had more rack space I would probably go broke buying Audio-Scape stuff just based on how much I love the Opto Comp alone. I'm "self banned" from their website.

I'm so curious about these. They look classy and the AT Fairchilds are serious business. Looking forward to your testing and impressions!

Tracked all day today so just some vocals then I'm done! The preamp is what I would describe as full range. The low-end is insain and the topend extends in a very tube-pleasing way. Fat is another word that comes to mind.

Picked up a set of Argosy Spire to park the SCM45A'S on. I really needed to have more mass and stability. They have seemingly met the need. Bottom end response is notably better, and I am also experiencing some spatial improvement as well. Glad I got them.

I just bought a racked stereo pair of Studer 089 MK1 preamp and eq section. And... I don't know much about these actually. Studer being a swiss brand, it will probably sound neutral.

Digging the pair of KH120s I bought from the classifieds for my personal room.
I almost don’t miss the big ATCs I’ve been working on at this amazing local joint I have fallen in with.

Bought another T-Funk M81 (SH) and an EV 320
Why? I have no idea. Needs I suppose.
