I purchased some parts from I.J. Research to build a 500 'Lunchbox.' I was very happy with the results and would like to build another. Unfortunately it looks like the company is at least temporarily not doing business and my efforts to contact them haven't worked.
Does anyone here know what their plans for the future are?
Alternatively, does anyone know of another source for 500 parts? I am not interested in a rack mount frame, just a 4-slot portable box.
Thanks

I just purchased a supply from five fish audio. With a 120VA (18+18) Avel Lindberg transformer Model # Y236453 you can supply 3.33 amps to the modules, which should be enough for 8 or more. I ordered cards from classic API and am planning on hand wiring to the xlr and power supply in the case, or designing my own pcb and self-etching. Will have to make the case myself. Just thought I'd chime in.

hit up Jeff (ClassicAPI) for 500 series racks and PSUs, along with awesome kits.

I think the OP mentioned he wanted a simple 4 slot lunchbox, not a full sized rack chassis..

Oops. I would still use a 15+15 toroid though.
