I like Pete Thorn's demo videos a lot. He's a real good player out of la and he just demo's the plugs, no bs and shows you exactly how he gets his tone, which plugs and settings on his different guitars.

I can honestly never conclude whether I really like any of the amp sims enough to buy one but I follow the releases and listen to them.

I do a lot of re-amping. I would LOVE to be able to be satisfied isn't amp sims for scratch tones (while taking my DI for later re-amping. It would be so easy and convenient. But I CANNOT STAND playing through sims. It just makes the process unenjoyable, which is the very last thing I'll put up with.
So I stick with my mic'd ISO cab for scratch tones.
I'd love to have my mind changed. UAD would be the only way it'd be workable for me cause I can't hack latency. I wish they sounded better.

I tried out some of these again not long ago...I just couldn't get something going quick enough to make it worth futzing around with them. Turned on the Kemper, dialed up a Marshall and it was immediately there.
