I thought PSP 2445 reverb was smoother sounding I just got an email about this being updated and on sale for $99, so I checked out a quick youtube demo. Thing sounds pretty good to my ears. I think I'm going to download the demo and take it for a spin. I downloaded it last night and gave it a spin, I like it the most of the plate verbs I've tried, CPU usage is pretty large, but it's probably why it sounds as good as it does? could probably sound better with even more hit, think about the CPU power a bricasti uses, the parameter control on the plug is great, i'd have liked a more controlled damper with more narrow timing control, that IS the single largest advantage of using a plugin for me, as of now they unnecessarily knee capped it having only 0 through 10..... unless I missed something?

In Pro tools 12 it's a bit heavy, maybe 10% to 20%. Reaper is much lighter at about 1.5%. 64 buffer on a 4930k running at 4.2ghz on all cores.
hmmm, strange, it'd be interesting to see what happens with all parameters set equally in both daws with a null test, seems strange that reaper would somehow be more compatible than PT, i suspect one platform or the other isn't playing nicely with the plugs algo?

do the comparison and report back, would ya please? 8) To my ears ValhallaPlate is a nicer sounding verb, different than the PSP. the Valhalla has lots more options with all the different algos. Also at half price of the PSP it's a much better deal imo.

I was responding to a comment about the PSP 244/5 saying that it's on sale, I checked a video, and it sounds cool and you quoted me saying that you tried it last night and it sounds good. I was asking if you meant that you tried the PSP or the Waves that the thread was about or even the Valhalla.
