We started this conversation about dsp measuring software in another thread.
My room is 20x11x 7.5 and I have a pronounced Room mode at around 100 cycles.
I forgot to mention that the garage is against the one side wall so I could actually widen about 2/3rds of my room by 1-2 feet by moving the wall (It's not a bearing wall).
This possibly wider end is where I have my monitor/mix position set up.
Would it improve the room's characteristic significantly or just move the mode up in freq ?
Or given our recent chat about diffusers, would peeps just recommend some diffusers ?
thx !

Follow up :from an on line calculator page:
I am not certain how to understand this ?
Group Warning Colours/Weightings negative 0 to 1 1 to 2 2 to 3 above 3
Explanation of Weightings: - group is a range of frequencies separated by 5% from the next range - groups wider than 5% are considered safe, e.g. the last big one - each frequency in a group is Minus 0.5 - iso is how isloated/separated a group is. if > 10% Plus 1 - Near is frequencies within 1% of another, if axial Plus 1, else +0.5 - Same is coincident/identical frequencies, if axial Plus 2, else +1 - To see examples of colours, try 10'x10'x10' and 10'x10'x9' - a 5% frequency separation is about a piano semitone

I went through all this with semi professional help. A very good read is this article by Ethan Winer. ethanwiner.com/acoustics.html#big%20wavesUnderstand the basics and start to build a LEDE design. Live end dead end. Use REW for measuring etc.
