I agree I was really impressed. Oddly the link on FB came from slate as the drums are ssd, not that the drums were weak but I thought everything else was superb ! First time I have liked a rock song in a long time !

Looks like he's using a very affordable rig to. SM7 - WA Tone Beast - WA76 - Logic X. The only thing that wasn't DI was the vocal, and by swallowing the SM7 he pretty much took the room out of the picture.

Have you guys heard the Lucas version of it? Lucas (forget the last name) was the guy who won the rockstar competition on Fox, 7-10 years ago... becoming singer for the new Brides of Destruction or some other Nikki Sixx brainchild. The following year they did the INXS new singer search.
Anyhow, the guy Lucas did an amazing job of it too. Completely reimagined. And no sucky whiny femvox.

Thank God this guy can sing on pitch. Nothing worse than rock singers who can't lock down the center of a note, but because they can do a Chris Cornell impersonation they think they're all set. It's fatiguing to listen to because their pitch moves around with their bad breathing and tense jaw never quite zeroing in. It's especially noticeable on a song like this. Freddie Mercury would kill this.

This guy is an extraordinary talent and shouldn't be wasting his time with silly youtube videos. Surely, there's a band out there who needs him!
