Groove Agent SE4 is a really versatile drum tool. So much so, that to help me speed up my workflow for producing my pop demos, I stopped using all my drum VST's- Superior Drummer/Addictive Drums/Abbey Road- and now use Groove Agent SE4.
I take loops from Vengeance drum sample packs, and/or individual samples, and pull them into the "pattern" function of GA4SE and then either drag the loop and rearrange it on the GA4 midi track, or put the loops slices onto different pads. Since the loops are much more processed this saves me time instead of EQ'ing and Compressing the individual outputs and mix OH's, Rooms and Close Mics of the software I used to use, along with all the FX sends I used to balance. Yeah, it's not engineering, but I'm writing/producing pop demo songs and it is saving me a ton of time.
