Anybody seen this? Built it? Heard it? Here's a link if you havent. www.diy-racked.com/diy-talk/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=234 Would love to hear what you guys think. I have an Inward Connections Mix 690 which is awesome but wondering if this would be a good alternative or just more of the same. Can't beat the price for a 24 channel summing mixer with 2520 Op amps on every channel and 4 transformers.

I don't know much about it other than it utilizes my 2-ACA-Bo summing cards. And yes, great to see you here bartacusad!!

Thanks boys! I pop my head in pretty often. There's a lot of smart dudes on here so I just mostly watch/listen and learn. Haha! Seeing this box makes me wonder why we don't all gang up on Jeff and force his hand to do something like this. Not sure what the demand is but it'd sure be interesting to find out. Let's take a poll John!

You do have a lot of work ahead of you with the move for sure. Okay, I'll call the dogs off...at least till after Christmas ? I would be interested to know how many guys would be interested in a CAPI Summing box though. And yes, I'll be glad to share any "secrets" I know. I think we've probably got the same secret: long hours, grey hair, and lots of experimenting.

I MIGHT have something new brewing in the chutes. Its not the 32x4 but something that can be used "after" that and in conjunction with it. I am still in the very early design stages but think I am onto something cool. It has been done before but never to this level. More to come as I progress. I am working on this after store obligations and when I need a mental break from tearing down the console and studio to move so its important but not a first priority.

Damn.. 400$ for the kit, plus 450$ for 2520 opamps (if you build them yourself), plus 100 for transformers, and probably another 200 in finishing parts, meters, and passives..
So 1200-ish with shipping and such..
That's quite the cost and build!

I bought one. Was having great fun building it until the IRS caught up with me.
This coming Jan/Feb I'll finish it up.
Fantastic kit though....can't wait to use it in a mobile recording rack.

Just some summing mixers have them inside.

anybody ever get one of these built? I'm still a month or so away from completion after slightly easing Uncle Sam's boot from my neck.... Got all the PCB's and op amps built...just gotta populate Jeff's ACA summing card and wire the beast together.... Wish me luck....my DIY success rate just dropped from 100% to 33 1/3%

I have high hopes. It's a really nice looking and well designed piece of kit....and having a 2520 on every channel gets me pumped. I'm planning on using it as much as part of the front end of a mobile recording rig as on the back end for summing...
I'll get off my ass and get this thing done...
