Currently, it looks to be just under 3 bills at AD. Wondering if it'll get better later in the week.

I would not buy it again. Bought it and I found out that the stock one in logic produces less aritfacts and is having a superb tracking. Is more easy to use if you know a little bit about chords and scales.....

I have to admit that the logic unit (which I've NEVER used ) is pretty impressive. But doesn't the Melodyne handle polyphony, enabling individual note "editing?"

I've used it with success in the past, was considering AT instead, but feel comfortable with what I know, so am sticking with Melodyne.

Transfer worked beautifully, I purchased an upgrade from Uno to Editor, and now I'm fully operational and used it on a session yesterday. Thanks a million!

Who can report about the believability of the polyphonic correction of out of tune electric guitar? Very slight amp overdrive/bite, no efx pedals. I was in a band with a guy who is now deceased, plenty of tracks in the can but a lot of very dodgy tuning.

It's a powerful tool, when it works right.
You can't do more than one or two tempo changes, or the program just doesn't respond to subsequent changes.. It's also prone to lock up your DAW in plug-in mode, and just lock up completely in stand-alone mode.
Sometimes, it'll start to echo for no reason at all, especially if you have a lot of track sections used to build a master track Melodyne is used on.
Loading presets can sometimes stall mid load and cause a crash, which may or may not actually still have the edits you've saved. It's almost like it doesn't save immediately when you choose to do so. more than once have I saved something, changed a preset and had it crash, only to restart and reload to find everything I did in the last 15 minutes was not there.
I also find the GUI to be non-intuitive and the zoom features are almost worthless.
It's a powerful tool, but it's like the people who developed it never actually spent any time doing QA testing, and certainly don't do much actual editing in DAWs. I find switching between different DAW programs easier than bumbling around Melodyne.
I think a few tweaks and the program could be greatly improved, but reading the forums and frustrated customers, I also get the feeling that the developers don't listen to feedback very much.

Sounds like at least your experience is equally as buggy as the program is complex. I'll have to see if I can find someone local who knows it, try to sit in. Thanks.

I read that the guy who developed either Melodyne or Anteres Auto-tune was originally working for the oil companies developing the underground sonar DSP stuff they use to detect oil deposits. Figures that an oil company would end up ruining music lol edit: Auto-Tune was initially created by Andy Hildebrand, an engineer working for Exxon. Hildebrand developed methods for interpreting seismic data and subsequently realized that the technology could be used to detect, analyze, and modify the pitch in audio files.[5] (from wikipedia)

I never used it because I had the feel it keeps me, and some of my clients, away from making it right in front of the mic. If I correct my vocals without artifacts the logic correction always outdated melodyne. I am happy if you like it...
