See the Hammond thread--I know Murph does Wurlis....I don't know why he wouldn't do Rhodes--but, most importantly if he doesn't, he'll TELL you that....and tell you who will. Straight shooter. Love him.

What do you need done to your 73? there are a couple notes that that sustain when they're not supposed to. a couple that are pretty muted. just needs a little love. i think something in the vibrato section electronics department might be going bad to as it's getting noisier than it used to be. i might need to get the resistors and capacitors in there replaced, which is something i could probably do, but i'm not in the mood to troubleshoot it. i'd rather just pay someone to tell me exactly what's needed, then i can make the decision to either tackle it myself or have them do it.

I've rebuilt a couple. I have an all original 1973 Suitcase that sounds amazing. Vintage Vibe is a great resource for parts, advice, and repair videos. Notes that sustain and don't dampen are super easy to troubleshoot. It's just a matter of bending the damper arms by hand, Vintage Vibe has a free video on Youtube illustrating it. Muted notes are also an easy fix. Usually just a bad tine which is easy to replace. Sending off your piano is a bigger pain in the ass and expense. Do you have a Peterson preamp? Vintage Vibe can also help you troubleshoot that. Is it grounded properly? Could be something basic. Also check out EP-Forum. ep-forum.com/epforum/smf/
