You know...I'm tempted...but I have SO MANY plugs as it is. Do I REALLY need more? I feel ya, man. I'm trying hard not to sink any more money into software. The only thing that remotely interests me is the UAD AKG verb or the EA R2...or the Hofa verb. But there is just so much hardware I want! I wonder what it's like to have so much money to just go buy whatever you please...

I hear you indie and feel the same here: just looking for something truly unique and or that adds something I don't already have. I have ua akg verb and do recommend, used my $100 coupon when I bought my apollo for that

Food for thought. My buddy, who was going to get an Apollo Twin, just got an Apollo 8 Duo, which comes with a free Quad Satellite, from Pro Audio Star for $1550 shipped. That is nuts. He'll probably sell the Quad Satellite and end up having gotten the BF Apollo Duo for like $800.

^^this^^ how do you say no ? I'm saying no because once I go UAD, I'll end up spending boatloads on their plugs even though I'm happy with what I've got.

That's why I think UA would be smart to practically give those things away...Get all your people hooked on your "blue meth"...

Are you thinking the Quad Satellites will flood the market and not be worth as much? I don't think it'll matter if you wait a bit to sell it. Maybe not at all. We'll see!

I'm saying they should basically give them away without having to buy anything else. Just sell them at cost and get people hooked...the software is where the real money is...

Personally, I am reading between the lines and wondering if ua is clearing out the quads with the old sharc chips as they are giving away both fw and pci-e cards ? the new sharc chips is like dual core , yes twice the processing but the chip has a different foot print so will not fit in/on the old pci-e board. so, ua will need to design a new board, easy to make that into a a new dual core satellite ( 4x2 or 8 x2 ) not so easy to fit into the apollo as it will need a complete redesign. I'd sell it fast

Overloud has up to 60% discount on their products. High quality reverbs and effects, good sounding virtual guitar/bass amp suites. I like the BREVERB pretty much. The VKFX come in handy sometimes and do some go-to special keyboard effect things that i really like, e.g. the chorus. I use some Overloud stuff licensed with Cakewalk Sonar regularly because it really sounds good i.e. BREVERB, TH2, some VKFX and an integrated lite version of the reMatrix. The discount prices are very reaonable. www.overloud.com/products.php

ragan yes it was recently discussed. So, I think the writing is on the wall for the current gen of sat cards. Nothin wrong with them they work fine but if you could get 16 chip processing for around the price of the current octo, it would be interesting. the dual core sharc chips are about the same price as the current chips I presume there is a redesign apollo and 16 coming along too as this would greatly improve ( double) unison and tracking dsp power.

While this won't apply to everyone, Korg is having 33% all their Kronos expansions--first AND third party. And, they NEVER run sales....funk horn expansion is gonna need to be mine.
Also, if it hasn't been mentioned, best virtual drum kits....the Fairfax 1 kit is $39....as is their U3 piano (for addictive keys). It's not as detailed as the Ivory version, but....it's a lovely sounding U3 sample set for $39. Even less at JRR (put them into the cart).
Ivory, unfortunately....not deep sale....buy one bundle, get a single....so, for $285 or so I could buy the Upright bundle and get the single American D....still not inexpensive for the two pianos I want.

Yes, saw the discount on the AD2 ADpacks, too. Fairfax 2 is really good, too. And the Vintage Dry one is also one of my favourites, purchased them recently. Really good prices now!

I'm tempted to pull the trigger on these. Johnkenn the ST bundle is awesome sounding. Primal Tap is the fattest delay imo and with the freeze option all sorts of wildness can ensue. There's not one bad plug in the bundle and they all sound great imo.
