The marketing of the "James" is one of the more interesting I've ever seen: "We first created the James for a very nasally male vocalist (think Gomer Pile). Once we were happy with our design specifications we realised that not only was the James perfect in this regard, but it also captured that old school vibe that so many love. " I wonder why the didn't call it the "Gomer". I kid....

I've put a few of my CT12's in CV's. It's quite an improvement. Good to hear! There are all kinds f doubters saying you can't use a different capsule type in a Neumann microphone. Even going as far as to say there's no way to use a K47 or M7 in anything other than a U47 or M49 (or the Neumann-GEFELL designs)

I've put a few of my CT12's in CV's. It's quite an improvement. Hi Tim, I currently have one of your CT12's on order. I'm considering a Neumann-Gefell CMV563 either S/H or maybe even the new re-issue. Are you aware of anyone who has tried a CT12 on a CMV563? Just curious. Thanks Rowan
