I don't have it in front of me but I believe there's a label at the bottom of the VU meter that reads "stereo". If you click that label you can change it to "dual mono" which would sound better on a wide stereo mic'd piano.

There is a mono, stereo and dual mono possibility with mono beeing the first option in a drop-down menu. It is possible to choose it by accident. On a stereo track it collapses the signal to mono. Just checked it on a mix.
