I remember going with a friend to look at 2 consoles up in the hills around Los Angeles. The people we met were from Russia and in a band called "Gorky Park" One was a Harrison 4032 that looked pretty used and that they were asking $5,000 for. The other was a 32 channel Neve 8068 that had come from a Theater House in Russia. They wanted $10,000 for the Neve. My friend said the Harrison looked very well used and the Neve was too much money. We drove home empty handed. This breaks my heart.

I can't imagine they're going to be selling a lot at that price. Music doesn't sell enough to justify these kinds of costs of producing it. Get yer DAW out

They don't have to sell a lot of them. But i betcha they sell at least 30 by 2017. You gotta look at it like you would a Lamborghini. A high performance tool designed and engineered by some of the most talented minds in the industry and made to look absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. If you're lucky you might be able to test drive one but only a few will actually own one. More than likely you'll only ever see one through the windows of a dealership.
