I have the money to buy a pair of hardware Lexicon PCM 42's or an Eventide H3000 D/SE.
So, I have a couple of questions for those who own(ed) the hardware and their plugin delay emulations:
1. Are there plugins where there is no noticeable difference for either a pcm 42 or H 3000 D/SE emulation? 2. If you have to buy a pair of Lexicons or an H300 D/SE what would you choose?
I've heard the plugins (Echoboy, Waves H Delay etc.) but never the original units. So, thanks to anybody who replies who has experience with these units and their plugin emulations!

I would buy a H3000 and then one of the EPROMs with all the presets. And the SoundToys Echoboy for delays, if you really want outboard for delays Yamaha D1500s , Roland SDE's and TC D2s are easy to find for cheap used!
