I think they're handy when learning a tune in the office at lunch. Doesen't disturb people in nearby offices and you have a million tones at your fingertips. Can't remember the last time I fired them up at home, but they're handy sometimes.

KISS - I plug my guitar into the mic pres HI Z input- I play and I feel home - done. I do not need a million mic positions I don´t need 20 million pedal simulations which sound terrible. My last hope is Amplitube four.... it would be great if they do it right this time. It would make a lot of things more easy when writeing songs. I would love to have everything in one session folder. Now I have to work with pictures and notes...

The only one I found tolerable was S-Gear 2. Saying this, I use the Two Notes Reload and Two Notes CAB, haven't mic'd a guitar or bass cab since. No need. Their products are great. Use my amps, my effects, turn up to the sweet spot and record silently. Sounds just like my rig because it is my rig, not a plugin trying to sound like the real thing.

They're like drum machines... not like the real thing, even if they are convenient at times.

As long as it isn't Line 6 or a solid state amp, I'm more than capable of getting a record out of it. Scuffham and Poulin make extremely nice sims, I've had a Kemper for three or four years and the time it saves and sounds I get from it make it invaluable to me, if it died tomorrow I would be repurchasing one.

Yeah. You can make set lists. I tend to use a couple and never get away from them.

Cool seems like the kemper is the only one who can make the dream come true...

+1 on the Kemper, just did a whole records-worth of guitars with it in my apartment after getting the profiles at a studio. It was a lifesaver. Now I have a studio and will probably use it less, but the versatility is invaluable and it's something I'll probably never part with

No recall needed, tones can be saved in the Kemper by name, when you need to recall a tone just recall it and in my situation because the Zens preamps are digitally controlled it's always recorded via line in at 0db. I can go punch in tones from stuff a year ago if I really wanted to.
