Started loading it up, too bad they aren't all done, i plan to finish out this rack with another Serpent SA3A, a couple of dandeurloo's DBX160vu's, DBX160xt's, the other rack will be effects processors, verbs, and the rest of my hardware, I want to add a Sta-, an La2a to that side as well, then I think i'll be good to go 8) All the set and forget stuff will be mounted backside, the converters, amps, console PSU, dsub patchbays(from top), the console sits on top of these with a gap between the racks for leg space, it will be about 108" wide, it sits at 40+ inches tall, I use a tall drafting chair, I'll be able to sit and stand at the same basic height, i can depress the chair and drop down to standard seat height to work on setting parameters, the theory of this monolithic rig is I should be able to roll it anywhere with relative ease, not exactly a mobile rig, but I should be able to get to work relatively painlessly if i ever move, or decide to do a location recording for an extended period, i also have a DB25 hookup sidecar build to carry my 3-51x 500 series racks, this is small forward step i know, but it feels really good to make some actual visible progress, i've been staring at tiny gear build components for what seems like forever! A good night 8)

T, that looks awesome, nice build. I can almost hear those drums . Tell me more about those Aphex Expressors. I just bought one (upon Jim W's praise) but haven't got it yet... Man, I wish you were closer, you could make some dough building stuff for me, sigh...

tonycamphd Do you have 5 unfinished projects in that rack? I wish, I have more than that, the compex f760 clone isn't even started, and I still have to send 2 of those 651's to Jim W, the others are ranging in progress from complete, and close to done, it's been a slow roll for me for a number of reasons... Im going to get this thing running so I can start tracking, and have a clearer path forward, I've been very ADD about all of this, and it needs to end, hence having things set up and a glaring in my face "finish me!" Thing... Building a studio from near scratch is a daunting task..., when i say scratch, I mean scratch including everything from my room structure to my drum kit haha 5 things... I wish! 8)

DIY Compex, I didn't know such a thing existed. yup, colin at AML, he has great build documentation, but it's still a very "compex" build haha, i'm putting it off until the very end, some of the parts are obsolete and need alternative equals, the calibration process is over 30 steps if i remember correctly, and not many guys on GDIY took it on, so i'll be a bit on my own for it, so it must wait for a time when i can just relax and take my time, i have plenty of other things to do...

I actually own a fuck ton of ADR gear since I bought out there old advertising studio. The compex calibration procedure if done correctly from the handwritten documents is like 119 steps. The one with 30 steps floating around is incomplete as far as I know. I am going to check out the build purely from the point of view that this is not something I think I would take on lol. More power to you though Tony!!
