Anyone know a source to get inexpensive mic cases for Mics like the apex/matachung type? I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find any that are the right size. I need 4 apex style and 3 with the u87/67 bodies and power supplies. I'll even take them blank and cut the foam.

Jazz: the box is not tall enough to fit the shock mount
Kcat: I've already gotten the wood cases and did get them from Chung. I need a case for the mic, ps, shock and cable.
Thanks tho.

Even with the shockmounts lying on there side? Either way you can get deeper flight cases and fill them out with ELE foam to taste. Just have to do the annoying bit and put them all down and measure them!

If you want cheap, I've used cases from Harbor Freight with those square foam inserts that you pull out in the shape of whatever you want to put in. If you want nice, try a gun shop. Attachments:

Look at vanguard cases on amazon. They have lots of different sizes, you may have to go the their website and get the exact model # then go back to Amazon.

Professional camera cases for the serious photo and video guys mostly do a good job for tube mics with PSU and shockmount as well.

Sounds like you might be looking for something more like a Pelican 1600 or even a 1650 if you're wanting to include all the fixin's like cables, shock mounts and power supplies, etc. Check eBay; There's always people blowing them out, I've seen them go for like $60 to $100. My boss buy 'em by the gross! I think Tundra makes some pretty decent equivalents. The caveat of buying used is that you might have to clean the exterior and-or re-foam the interior. Depending on who had the case last, that can be a formidable task sometimes. I've discovered just how cool products like WD-40 and 90% isopropyl alcohol can be in cutting down that pass-time. Foam should be pretty cheap right now since it's tied to the price of crude-oil. I've had great luck with this place if you want to pick up foam: www.thefoamfactory.com/acousticfoam/acousticfoam.htmlLots of selection and even a fair amount of some presentable acoustic solutions (hence THAT link!) Happy Hunting!
