I used the lighted halo for a long time. At some point it got too bulky and I got tired of moving it around. I've been using head gear for a long time and really like it. It moves with you. I don't use the light because the bench is well lit. The Harbor Frieght unit serves the purpose, but the unit above looks like a step up. You'll be glad you switched.

Recently i accepted, that i need glasses to read. At 47, that's pretty normal. I accidentally bought much too strong glasses first, these are good magnifiers. LOL. I also have a "third hand" helper stand with a magnifying glass. With glasses alone i have no problem to fix even SMD stuff on soundcards. Without appropriate soldering iron... Good light is the key for me. And steady hands.
