I'm trying to set up patchbays!
I have two Redco DSUB Patchbays, which I am trying to set up with my Lynx Aurora 16 so that I can use my Hardware FX as inserts in my DAW (Cubase Pro Tools) and also patch in outputs from audio while I track to record my hardware FX into the DAW.
Problem: Only one of my DAW inserts works-my Smart C2- and it only when it is set to "Stereo". In dual mono it doesn't work! When I had everything connected directly to the Aurora 16, the hardware inserts worked like a charm. Mono, dual mono, stereo...no problem.
So, I'm doing something wrong.
The Aurora 16 meter shows all the outs are working, but only the C2 ins work, and only when in Stereo. They're all on the same DSUB. So, I don't know why only one unit is woring fully, when the patchbay settings are the same. And I don't know why dual mono turns off the input to the Aurora 16.
Here's the setup: The DSUB connections are Full Normalled/Ground Bus on the patchbay
Here how I've connected the cables :
Top Row Patchbay 1->Purpose is D/A- out> DSub Cable from patchbay to Dsub analog output 9/16 on Aurora 16
Bottom Row Patch Bay 1-> Purpose is FX-in-> Dsub cable from Patchbay to XLR inputs of my hardware
Top Row Patchbay 2--> Purpose is FX-out-> Dsub cable from Patchbay connected to XLR outputs of my hardware
Bottom Row Patchbay 2-> Purpose is A/D in-> DSUB Cable from patchbay connected to DSUB inputs 9/16 of Aurora 16
This is my first rodeo. So, I apologize if I'm doing something stupid. If anybody can point out my mistakes I'd appreciate it!
