I just watched "Love and Mercy", the Brian Wilson biopic. Hal Blaine has a conversation during a break in a session where he says some real words of encouragement for Brian, and part of it is premised on the fact that Blaine talks about how many people he's worked with-Sinatra, Elvis, Nat King Cole and everybody big and small- and where Wilson stands in that company. The film is very well done for a biopic, with great acting.

I really like the sound of the toms.
Never played, heard or recorded in real life , concert toms.
They sound great
