Yeah he was, and is one of the reasons why I love to play guitar, at home, or on stage or just working on songs etc. I think the best cuts where those aftre his rehab and I am still sad about that he had to leave way too early. I try to imagine what he would play now, in the age of 61?
SRV simple loved to play guitar even without beeing paid for it. And this love was the reason why he played with the energy of the universe.
I am always amazed when I see late interviews with him. Never grumpy, always open minded, happy to meet people, is seeing the potential in his respondent. He is one person I feel conectet to, even if I never meat him.
25 years ago he passed away. See you in the next live dont be late..... dont be late....

Stevie Ray Vaughn didn't sell as many electric guitars and amps as the Beatles, but he sure as heck gave the industry a shot in the arm.

I had tickets to that last show, and invite to the party. We were tired after getting home off the road and had to build a couple of new cabinets to go back out to do some bigger gigs! First time the local station ever played anything SRGV did by himself.
