Anyone have any modding experience with one of these?
I found 2 of the Multicom MDX 2400's while digging through old gear that was going to the recycling center. If memory serves these are from '94-96.
The reason I ask is because they are actually using the dbx 1252 vca and are all through hole. Are these suppose to be dbx 160x clones? They even have foot prints for transformers.

I think the 1xxx series is the DBX copy and the 2xxx series is the Drawmer copy, I could be wrong. By the way, they are great with some simple mods.

svart, not to bug you... did you happen to see if you had anything on these? Thanks I looked but didn't have any notes. I can't remember which model i had, but the general mods were caps and opamps. Decoupling was a big priority on these, and is where they cheapen out. |
