This is not for me, a composer I am working with works exclusively in Logic, I've got to mix a suite for him but all of his tracks are in midi. Is there some way to freeze the midi track to audio, or a simple way to convert it to audio w/o him having to set up print busses and recording the output of the sequencers?
Thanks!

I guess he uses virtual instruments??? In this case he bounces every single track to disc and he sends you the files zipped. If you use PT he has to bounce the interleaved stereo files as split stereo. Here are all bouncing options of logic explained.... www.musictech.net/2010/11/logic-tutorial-bouncing/

Hmm I thought there would be a way to easily bounce within the session so he can send an OMF.

In Logic X - set a region..
Select File -> Export -> All tracks as Audio Files.
He has a choice of
AIFF WAV and CAF 16 24 or 32 Bit (float) Bypass effect Plugins Include Automation

So that will place them into a folder with some type of OMF equivalent or just the tracks? I just don't want to spend hours having align things and such, kills my creativity when I have to do that kinda stuff. Just would like to have an OMF type of deal, open it and dive in.

He has to create the folder, but yes. It'll be just the tracks but they are all identical length - Just line em up at 0 (maybe set the right tempo??) I've done it before when people have sent me stems to do parts, and the only person that had trouble with it was using Reason as their DAW.

OMF? What decade is this? All the Logic files will be timestamped to sample accuracy.
Do know that Logic, and it's the only one I know of, typically offsets the timestamp by 1 day. Only app that does that.....confusing if you're not aware...simply a quick offset alteration if you do.
