Hey Ethan , great article you wrote here realtraps.com/art_room-setup.htm . I followed all your advice and WOW , HUGE improvement !! Everything sounds great now . I have a question , I noticed in the picture and also you didn't mention putting bass traps/panels in the front corners behind the speakers . I have a narrow room , 8 feet 6 inches wide . Would I benefit putting panels across the front corners , behind the speakers , for bass trapping ? Your picture just shows the early reflections , side walls and ceiling having panels , nothing in the front corners behind the speakers . Thanks ,

Hey scum, i can tell you that, you can NOT over bass trap a room, its a good idea to trap all corners in a small room if you can.
hope this helps T

Those tri-corners (Where the two walls and the floor or ceiling meet) are supposed to be the most efficient for treatment, Scumbum. Hopefully I get time to finish up my diffuser this weekend, and if finance allows I'd like to start sorting materials for a Limp Mass Absorber. Very space efficient, wide Q bass absorbtion.

Hey Ethan , great article you wrote here realtraps.com/art_room-setup.htm . I followed all your advice and WOW , HUGE improvement !! Everything sounds great now . Excellent, glad to hear it. You already got good answers from others. You can't have too many bass traps in a typical home-sized room. Putting thin absorbers on the front wall is not useful, but real bass traps work well in the front corners, and can go pretty much anywhere else including parallel to the walls and ceiling. My room setup article doesn't show bass traps at all because it's more about placement and early reflections. The photos below show a great example of extreme trappage! --Ethan
