Great deals. I really like NY Vol. 3. Me too! I also like the Nashville SDX Chuck Ainley preset. You should check that out, seems to fit better in the mix without tweaking as much for me on rock/country stuff.

I pretty much choose NY 3 over everything 2 now...sometimes replace kick and hats though.
Yeah - the ainley preset with some of the room taken out is really good. Honestly though, I've been using the SSD Blackbird Drums a lot...
Currently building a track that I'm using the Muscle Shoals EZXand it sounds great.

I should of snagged the Slate Blackbird when it was on sale for $79. I am waiting...can't wait to hear it. I was checking out Cubase 8 tonight, currently on PT11. The interface is really different, not sure it would be an easy transition from what I'm used to. Thanks guys. I was using Ainley's brushes preset tonight, really cool stuff.

Do you like it better than the Slate Blackbird stuff, tho? I like Toontrack's whole interface tons better...and sometimes the Toontrack drums really work well. But overall, I think the sound of the BB Drums is better.

Do you like it better than the Slate Blackbird stuff, tho? I like Toontrack's whole interface tons better...and sometimes the Toontrack drums really work well. But overall, I think the sound of the BB Drums is better. I started using SSD back when they first came out. The interface was horrible in Kontakt, so I quit using it. Then I jumped on the Toontrack train with Superior 2.0 and many SDX packs. I got the SSD upgrade when they came out with their own interface, but haven't went back to it yet. Blackbird Drums was the thing that made me want to give it a try again. Now I want a better midi interface in my DAW. I really don't like the midi HUD in protools. It has come a long way, but I like the way Cubase looks, not sure about logic X. I Haven't used it since logic 8, that's a different thread.
