Nice conversation with the extremely kind and gracious Richard Hoover - Santa Cruz Guitars. You can kind of see the Brad Paisley model they rolled out for NAMM. Beautiful bearclaw top - didn't get to check out the back and sides.

So - I have to say - Greg Koch has always been one of my favorite guitarists to listen to and the dude is freaking hilarious...Sometimes I sit and daydream about us being besties...Anyway, here he is describing his badass new pickups for all sorts of guitar contraptions. The gist of it is that instead of copper wiring, it's a circuit board around the magnets...Don't roll your eyes - they're spectacular.

I personally had a blast and got to meet some cool new people. Pepper Denny (Pepper's Pro Shop) and I are hosting a listening party to try out all of this new gear on Tuesday night at 7PM here(Slack Key). All RGO folks that can make it are certainly invited! I am gonna put them on metal rack shelves and space them out for the evening's fun! They will be that much easier to take home should you crack your wallet open. I believe Pepper is doing some amazing pricing on all of these pieces throughout the evening, too! I am in love with the Highland Dynamics BG-2. Right up my alley for compression. Both British and American type heavy iron with a flip of a switch. I haven't been able to try any of the others yet. YET...
