I have Komplete 7 and am considering upgrading to 10. The things that intrigue me most about 10 are the Session Horns, Session Strings and Drumlab. If anybody has used these and would like to comment on the quality, I'd appreciate it. It's $200.00 to upgrade, which isn't a steep price, but the value has got to be there.

I Upgraded last year from 6 to 9 massive improvement well worth the 200 bucks.

Upgrading from one version to the next and you don't get to much extra but when you jump a few versions that when you notice a huge improvement. Should have jumped on that offer. I like NI and the way they allow upgrades. |

The big cost isn't the $200 - it's the OS and associated issues. If you're on the latest greatest OS and all is good, then yeah, go ahead and upgrade. If you're a couple OS's back, then be aware that the financial penalties are steeper. Mac and Yosemite and AVID broke so much of my software this last upgrade that a few hundred in upgrades turned into almost $2,000. Do your research first.
But more specific to your original question, the NI upgrades are always worth it IMO. Avoid buying the latest greatest during the year, and then pop for the Komplete upgrade and you'll get it all much cheaper.

Just installed Komplete 10 and it was seamless. Got it going and then left for about an hour and come back and it was ready to authorize. Using it with Maschine and I might get the Komplete Kontroller...does anyone here have that Kontroller? Anyway, I didn't have a lot of time to mess with it but the few sounds I did try out were fantastic.
