Nice! My links are scattered, but you listed most of the ones I know about. Doesn't KVR and Harmony Central have listings?
I tried to find local pawn shops online the other day, but they just have basic websites with no info.

I'm looking for some difficult to find used gear (atc scm150 or dynaudio m3a) -- There was a guy in PA selling 150's a few months ago. I recall the listing at the dreaded purple site. Those are very few and far between used. I know a studio with a few pair of M3a's. I think they were planning to sell. Not sure if they did or not. I just texted my friend there.

The Nashville Gear Trader on Facebook has some insane deals all the time. You have to request to join, I'm not sure if they limit it to your location or not though.

Also CML in Germany. Anybody knows more sources in Europe? I hate to deal with shipping costs, import taxes and VAT when buying from the US.

Well...if you want to sell something, try the Sweetwater Trading Post. I put my CV4 up and it was gone in 3 hours.

I'm a used junkie other than my Warm WA76 and my CAPI kits and PT 12 kick. I haven't bought new in years. Used, especially if you're looking for something specific is all about patience, and searching everywhere you have plus lots of major market craigslists. As far as what your looking for do you want it fast? Or Cheap? Fast your best bet is WTB adds and letting brokers like Solaris and Soundbrokers know your looking for SCM50s or M3s, but brokers are in this to make money too. I would talk to Brad Lundy ( he might know somebody who wants to move up). Remember Big speakers are a bitch to pack and ship and inadequate packing negates shipping insurance so you have to ask your self how much do I trust this seller ( UPS or Fedex Store Packing covers you isn't cheap and almost guarantees damage but it covers your ass). There are threads about DIY ATC SCM50s and in England Wilmslow Audio offers Kits and Knockdown Cabinets, but The SL Series Drivers are only Avalible from ATC or Brad and they are not keen to sell them for DIY SCM's ! The regular drivers are pretty awesome but the SL are even more special. Also Check Consumer listings and Shops for ATCs Dynaudio Drivers are almost impossible to find, but I know a lot of Manufacturers who used the Dyn Mid prefer the Tang Band Copy. Good luck!

This is for a ground up studio build, but it'll be a few months before the foundation is even poured, so I'm not in a great hurry. I'll probably do as you suggest and keep my eyes peeled for cheaper options.... and then if I start running out of time, pursue some of the faster options.

You probably already know this but Ad Huntr lets you search all of Craigslist. I've found rare stuff I was looking for that way before. I also use it as a reference for pricing when buying or selling.

The studio with the Dyn's actually had M2's not M3's and both sets are sold. Good luck searching! Ground up build? Who is your acoustician.

I know he use to design around the M3's but have heard he is using the ATC's more. Maybe he has a line on a used pair? IIRC, the guy in PA who just sold the 150's has a newly built Wes room. Exciting news on the new digs! Keep us posted!!!
