Wow, well done. I love James Taylor. Didn't know his new album was out already, so I just ordered the special edition with the DVD. Great man!

It's Great and I love JT but I think this shows the average of those who pay for music!

You're right Eric. But over a million in revenue for the first week is pretty good in today's market. I'm sure it cost a pretty penny to fly in Sting and assemble the musicians and folks that were involved with this.

He know the tour will pay the bills!

He know the tour will pay the bills! Agree. The mean age of the 'purchasing' public has got to be rising. Normally, the recording sets up the tour, right? But he's not a singer/songwriter - he's $%^&* James Taylor. He doesn't need to put out a recording to get an audience. He's practically a genre. Will it pay for itself with all those 'names?' Probably, so I wouldn't put it in the category of 'vanity recording,' were that even possible for the likes of Mr. Taylor.

That was my thought as well. The post should have been titled something like "legendary musician puts out another good one at #1, years later" I don't know. "Singer-songwriter" at this point is something of a derogatory term.

I'm not sure what that has to do with Chucks original question? but ok. We all know hitting transformers hard can be great. On a side, I can't wait to put a vp28 in front of my RM AD's and compare them to a burl.
