I've been searching around for something simple with a tempo adjustment but all I seem to find is hip hop plugins. Anyone know of one?

That's weird, the download for Tap gives you a DLL but no EXE

It's a VST plugin dll. Needs a vst host program. Copy to the vst folder of the DAW e.g....

i'm not sure if you want something for your DAW as a plugin or not, but as an MD when I'm running a band I'll use Tempo Advance on iOS. Great app.

I wasn't looking for a metronome, Reaper already has one of those.

If you want to use a .dll as a standalone App, download the free "Savihost" from Hermann Seib. Rename Savihost to the name of the .dll, but leave the extension (.exe) in place on Savihost... no VST host required.

What's wrong with the one that's built into Pro Tools? Or for that matter, any other lesser DAW? Aren't these standard?

it would be cool to have a simple click that had at least a little weight/groove to them, the daw clicks are terrible, the only time i've ever had clicks that felt remotely good was when I programmed a drum machine, i'd be really happy to find something simple that at least tried.

Not a plugin, not a metronome. I love this and use it all the time. Select your tempo, length and sound and download. Pull it into your DAW, align and go. Works great for me www.metronomer.com/

It took me a while to remember where I put this, but this is a programmable .exe "metronome" with Drum Sounds: Cool MetronomeIf you'd like a little reverb, you can download Mini Host to load the Cool Metro .dll and a reverb plug-in .dll - all without a DAW.

That's what I'm talking about, I like the ones I can program into my DR-880 drum machine but was hoping there was something similar in a software version that's less time consuming than using a drum machine.

I'm in the same boat. I really like the ios app Metronomics. Wish I had something similar for protools 11.
