Got the new L**d*ll lunchbox here and 2 28's on the way. I never used an API style pre before, I'll let you know how they are.

Ha! Yeah, the VP28s are great. I've been using mine a lot lately across the mix buss in line mode while mixing or on stems that need a little analog love. That and they make a pretty sweet microphone preamp as well!
