Introducing The Hoser - Launch Sale www.bozdigitallabs.comThe Hoser is LIVE! We've been talking about the release of this plugin for quite some time. Well, The Hoser is finally available for purchase! As usual, we like to give early adopters a chance to jump on it at a reduced price. You can buy it now for just $89 (MSRP $129). You can also try the demo for free. The intro price won't stay forever, so be sure to grab it while it's hot. Get it HERE for intro price of $89: www.bozdigitallabs.com/product/the-hoser-xt/What is The Hoser? The Hoser is our second David Bendeth signature series plugin. It's a real deal emulation of a Canadian hardware EQ. We worked like crazy to get this thing to sound just like the hardware. It's almost embarrassing how much work is involved in getting the plugin to sound just like the hardware. But it was all worth it when we finally nailed it. This short (at least I tried to keep it short) video explains some of the design concepts that went into making this plugin.

This is based on a Canadian eq by Ward Beck. I've never run across one in the studios here in Canada, it was always ssl's, tridents and Neve's. Anyone here use a Ward Beck?

This is cool to take a special homeland console not known by the most AE.
Is the whole path modeled, or just the EQ itself??

for some reason this seems novel, and I'm interested.

I've never seen one either that I can recall, but I've heard the name often enough that they can't be that uncommon. IIRC they (or many ) were built for the CBC? Could be entirely wrong and should wiki first, but that's what I think. Ok, Boz guys or Ward Beck hardware users, what different does this eq bring to the table? Cheers, Geoff

I really wish the demo's wouldn't do the drop out thing after so many seconds. I thought we'd moved out of that type of trial software 5 years ago. I've bought more plugins off of full version trials than I have ever bought from the kind that drop audio after such and such time. I just get aggravated with it and move on. The full trials, I end up liking them, using them on a session or something and then am somewhat forced into buying them. I'd been following that plugin a bit and was anxious to try it, but I can't do the limited demo thing.... I'll have to wait and see if it's a must have or something.
I had a Ward Beck for a while and thought it was a pretty interesting EQ, lots of people said it was like the Canadian SSL.... I didn't really feel like that, but I did like that eq.

FWIW, Boz has a pretty good refund policy. Maybe you should just buy it and return it if you don't like it? "We stand behind our products 100%. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason within 90 days, we offer a full refund on your purchase, no questions asked. Well, we will ask questions because we are always looking for ways to improve our products, but you don’t have to answer those questions if you don’t want to. The way we see it, if people really want to get software for free, there are plenty of ways to do it. This is no mystery. We aren’t going to punish our paying customers to try to prevent theft (which never seems to work anyway). We want you to be able to feel confident in your purchase, just as we are confident in our products."www.bozdigitallabs.com/category/uncategorized/

Yeah I hate that dropout shit. I'm passing on this because A. I have an SSL style eq that I like and B. the dropouts pissed me off. Bam, saved $90!
