Interesting band. Not really my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the musicianship these guys have!

...if you like Jackson Browne, Eagles, Buffalo Springfield, etc, this band carries on in that tradition...their last album, "Stories Don't End" was superb!...drummer and lead singer/guitarist are brothers...great story-telling lyrical verse...

Oh hell yeah. I've been a fan of these guys for a few years. I've got friends who've toured with them and say they're nice as hell.
Springsteen meets Jacksone Browne.

The thing that amazes me is that, with all of the success of bands like The Eagles, CSNY, Fleetwood Mac etc., that there are not many bands that have at least two lead singers and 4-5 players/singers that can sing background vocals. It's like multi- harmony singing is a lost art.

It's like multi- harmony singing is a lost art. It's all about egos and money! It's always been hard to balance the limelight and control in a band ( note every band you mentioned has had dormant periods and solo projects) !

It's like multi- harmony singing is a lost art. Hells yeah. That's why we should all grow up in church! You learn the craft at an early age and it just becomes part of how you hear music! On the other hand, the lack of this skill keeps my hours up! Singing a lot of backing vocals on records from all over the continent pays a lot of bills for me.

Only rich kids can afford a music career today. I wish I realized this before paying all that money for music school. Live and learn I guess.

The Eagles were earning a livable income in Northern California before they got signed.

Theres a nice side project with the lead singers of Dawes, Deer Tick & Delta Spirit called Middle Brother. ...yeah, and you know he's gotta be good to be chosen for the "Dylan Basement Tapes Continued" documentary along with Elvis Costello and a select group of singer/songwriters:

I really dig Dawes; saw them on a Guitar Center Sessions episode and got hooked and bought their stuff. Of course the Tele gets me every time.

Interesting stuff, thanks kidvybes. Dawes doesn't quite do it for me, but I dig where they're coming from. Great to hear about the Dylan album too.
