I found out that this host gives you two weeks of ad free time...so, that's why we aren't seeing ads for shit like Calgon...I wanted to avoid those kinds, so I'm just gonna pay on a monthly basis to keep those off.
On the other hand, I don't mind having banner ads for forum contributors placed along the bottom. They can serve as links to regular contributor's pages and/or stores...
If anyone is interested in having one at the bottom for a ridiculously nominal fee - like the one that's already there - PM me...
Also, I'm gonna see if I can put a donate link there too...Just to cover the cost of running the forum.
PLEASE DON'T LET THE DONATE BUTTON SOUR YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE...IT'S COMPLETELY UP TO YOU.

I don't mind ads . I'm bombarded non stop anyways all over the internet , so I'm used to them being around .
I don't think you should spend money out of your pocket just to keep the ads away . Heck , if the ads pay for the forum and you can even make a few bucks thats cool !
Running a forum is TIME CONSUMING , even being a Mod is time consuming , I wouldn't want to do it . Maybe ads scare some people away , but me personally , I say have ads if they help fund the forum .

NOW you tell me  No - I'd rather pick and choose the ads that are on here. If I can recoup in the meantime that's great. Hell, who knows, maybe one day it will be big enough that people will be running out of here...  |

Funny, apart from the 'Donate' button, I don't see any ads. I wouldn't mind them though, however, I must confess that I learned to pretty much shut ads out, I hardly notice them anymore. That said, if it helps to run the site, why not. I suppose they will be gear related anyway.

Levon, are you on a mobile device? I noticed the Mobile version doesn't seem to show the ads - unless you're on the desktop version.

No, I'm on a PC right now (my office PC), but I checked it on my Mac and everything is there, as it should be. I suspect I'll have to restart the PC and everything will work fine. |

I dont' have any ads show up, but that's cuz I have the Ad Block Plus extension installed for chrome. it also removes all Ads from youtube videos :-) sadly, it takes money away from dudes like john who need adverts shown on their site. luckily, you can disable it per site :-)

lol i thought everyone knew about ABP, tho. it's kinda the most installed plugin for your browser, outside of Flash, actually.
