I'm sure they sound like sub $500 speakers!

One reviewer said: "The reviews I read before buying these for my girlfriend, suggested they were comparable to speakers much more expensive. They were supposed to be demonstrably better than Klipsch, but when I did a side by side comparison with my Klipsch Icon KB-15s, they didn't quite match up. And my Yamaha NS-10Ms are superior to both." NS-10M superior to anything? LOL.

Well, what do you really expect for $200? Honestly, I wouldn't even waste $200 on them. You ultimately get what you pay for.

I think that person actually thinks ns-10's are good speakers.. There are a handful of sub 500$ speakers that get good reviews from knowledgeable speaker aficionados, you just have to read and look around.

I have a set of Fluance speakers for my home theater (2 way floorstanding, center channel, and surrounds). I bought them nearly 15 yrs ago.... at the time, they were all the rage on avsforums. I think they're a great value, but any decent studio monitor will blow them away. Of course, a lot could have changed since then. Mine look a little different than the current models (see pic). But I've been lusting after the Golden Ear Triton 7 speakers ever since I heard them at a hi-fi show a little while back..... pricier than the Fluance ($1400/pair), but they sounded ridiculously nice.... anyone buying home theater speakers should check these out IMO. I enjoyed listening to them more than any speaker I heard at the show, including many in the $20,000+ range. Golden Ear Triton 7 - Review Attachments:
