Can't say enough good things about BB King. Live At The Regal is definitive.

BB set the standard. From all accounts from friends that knew him he was a wonderful person and loyal to his band, even setting them up with health insurance. I had the pleasure of opening for him a few times and watching from the wings. I snuck a peak at his amp settings and was surprised to see the bass knob on 10.

I will always remember running into BB back stage at Mardi Gra Galveston about 13 years ago, he was telling Kenny Wayne Shepards dad how proud he was and he turned around with a tear in his eye as he realized it was me, it was the first time he had seen me since the fire, and The man apologizes for not playing my benefit. He was a true giant and a gentleman .

Ever hear a track he did called "My baby's coming home"?
Happiest blues track I've ever heard....live....band is killing...BB playing chromatic stuff in his solo lines....whenever I need an intstant mood elevation that does the trick immediately!

Got to see him once and what an entertainer. It was much later in his career and he sat in a chair the entire show. Nobody can make one note sound so expressive - his vibrato was pretty decent as well one of the best shows I've ever seen since Ray Lamontagne opened up for B.B. just before he was signed. Great memories through music.....
