I own Waves Platinum. Which is a great product. I've owned it for nearly eight years (Got it on Sale for $700.) It's a very good bundle with a lot of common plugins which I find are still used to this day on many hit records. However...what I'm seeing here is more of a claim about how they've made a reverb that can tonally sit with the big boys in the hardware digital FX world. It sounds usable...even good. But is it as "special" as they claim? When you put it up against owning the entire Valhalla DSP (LINK!) time based effect line for $200...you're spending the same money you would spend on the sale price for this plugin to get four plugins with a lot more by way of control...which are as close to classic hardware as I've heard out of a plugin by any company. No...unfortunately, this plugin by Waves is not cost effective, unless you're buying Mercury, in which case it comes to $35ish to $17ish depending if you buy that bundle on sale. Is it groundbreaking? No...is it useable? Yes. Is it flexible...yes. Is it a better sound than the cheaper Valhalla DSP stuff? No. So...for my money the Valhalla DSP products are where we're at in terms of price Vs performance if you're looking for Digital Verb/Delay solutions. However there are benefits to owning Platinum or Mercury Waves bundles if you can afford them.

I agree it doesn't seem as "ground breaking" as they claim in the video but that video is so long and boring that I may just have zoned out I'll probably demo it... someday... like when it goes on sale for Black Friday 2017 or something as I am literally and figuratively swimming in really good reverbs right now (Exponential, UAD, Valhalla, 2c, Eventide, etc.) (do like that it has a built-in de-esser though) Na the truth is we all have many good tools today. I do not see a need for another IR VERB. Lets count: EMT 140 EMT 250 Space Designer + Logic Stock Verbs. Altiverb 6 Real Verb Pro UAD (One of the most underrated verbs.) Midiverb 3 and 2. Yamaha Reverb 500 I think that is enough for the most mixes. Industry is having a problem with me - WHY MORE TOOLS, AND WHY ALWAYS NEW TOOLS? Know the tools you have, know them well and you will do great mixes.

Its very renaissance reverb like, there are a lot of guys who use that Rverb plug, this is probably an attempt to make a little $ by getting them into something familiar and more powerful, I bet it sounds good? i'll demo it for sure. I'm also going to demo the exponential audio stuff now that our good friend kcatthedog was so friggin cool as to hook a brother up with a new Ilok! Thanx Matt, you rule bud 8)

I don't use a single one of those verbs, i use waves IR, and lexicon hardware, i'll be moving to real plates and springs soon as i'm fully hybrid 8) From what i've been reading and hearing from others, the exponential may be the best software verbs available? Any thoughts on that? Can't wait to try it out 8)

Its been working fine for 2 months, yea !! the new ilok manager app works pretty well; glad that is working out for you !! sonically Relab is very very good but Michael at Exponential is arguably exponentially better , puts our excellent plugs, excellent support, updates and sales, if you are picking one I'd go with Exponential Audio.

I'm quite happy with my UAD EMT 140, Space Designer and Redline Reverb. I also love my Lexicon PCM Native Reverb and, of course, my Lexicon and Eventide hardware. I guess I'm all set. Wait, I still need/want a nice stereo spring reverb. That Vermona DSR-3 looks very tempting.

I'm mostly using a set of free reverb plugins and some IR's I've harvested from the internet of plates, springs and rooms. Though I have a TC Electronic M-One XL on the way. I don't like iLok and I don't like Waves, so I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. For iLok, it's nuisance ware and I've seen people lose weeks of business due PACE'S technical failures. As for Waves; Pro's or not, we can get a good sound without breaking the boycott on Israel.

I have too many already, but I'm always interested in a good new reverb. H Delay is really good I wonder if that compares to this at all.
