I had the old UAD1 version.. haven't used any of the newer UA Plugs..

I love the UAD Fairchild. Sometimes the 660 sounds better to me than the 670. John, how do you use it dual mono on a stereo buss?

Me, too! I think it is one of the best sounding software comps I have. On the mix bus, BGVs, etc.

Lliked the old one too, never did a demomof the new one? Does it saturates when driven harder, or in this case the sound getting smaler?

Lliked the old one too, never did a demomof the new one? Does it saturates when driven harder, or in this case the sound getting smaler? That's kind've the thing with the FC - has immense amount of headroom, so, no - there's no distortion really. |

That isn't far off from where I run it on my drum buss, John. Sometimes it is a little too slow for the drum buss if I am recording train beats and faster transient things, but for the most part, it hits the nail on the head.

Yeah - I bought it Chuck...Still rapping my head around it, though. The Input and Output doesn't seem very linear...
