That more than doubled our daily page views? Because I want to do it again...

Google now rates websites based on relevant content. The trick is that we need good and relevant topics....

Google doesn't seem to really work. Compare the GS topic head with yours… I am pretty sure you can see why google follows GS.

I'm wondering if it was a mistake...it would be awfully strange to have a blip of twice as many people...and then they just all go away.

I discovered this board on google. Dont remember what I was searching for but it was a piece of gear. Of course it was listed after the 35 GS threads that were not at all helpful.

Well it certainly wasn't me. First day since I joined up (and that was at the dawn of RGO) that I didn't receive any notifications. Could my popularity be becoming more selective? I AM WANING. #waning #notwinning

Nope all their post listings at Google are generic searches. They do good search engine optimizing = SEO. Watch their topic code head in your browser they invite the robots with the follow command. Do some research on HTML. I am not an expert but I optimized my own website that good that I am in the whole Berlin area Nr1. with the most important keywords for my business. If you combine this with relevant content, no GS rubbish "should I buy" or "whats next", you do not have to pay a single cent to Google to be listed with the posts. BTW I would implement in the terms of use that you can erase topics at anytime. With this you can kill bad content before the robots come again for crawling RGO.

Seriously, we could try to extend thread titles by our power of admin/moderator rights with the gear names that are actually discussed inside threads, maybe put them in brackets after the original thread names, maintaining the freedom of the posters, but getting more relevant topic information onto the content pages, which is quite effective for SEO. Just an idea, Johnkenn ...

This way, people interested into a piece of gear come more often to the content pages, instead of right into a thread and invest more time on the board, reading the whole thread, or even get distracted i.e. interested in the other stuff we discuss around here, which could raise clicks considerably. Also it should raise banner clicks...
